Dental Implants

Dental Implants are an increasingly popular solution for single and multiple missing teeth. We do not take a one-size-fits-all approach however. Rather, in conjunction with your Specialist Prosthodontist, a customised treatment plan can be devised to address whatever solution best suits your dental needs. Dental Implants are surgically placed into the jaws and serve as a foundation for support or retention of dental prostheses.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic improvements to your smile can come in all shapes and sizes. It may be that a simple, single restoration is all that is required to achieve that perfect smile. It could be that a tooth is out of place or discoloured. It may also be that multiple teeth are broken down, worn, chipped and decayed. Under all of these circumstances, your Specialist will be able to customise a range of cosmetic dental options to suit your needs. Ceramic Veneers and Crowns, Bridges, Tooth Whitening and Composite Resin restorations are all available

Tooth Wear

The premature loss of tooth structure is a complex dental condition requiring a considered approach and wide clinical experience. At your consultation, your Specialist will commence discussions and aim to identify possible reasons for your tooth wear. After collecting some records and undertaking a full examination, an approach to either reducing its extent or reversing the damage that has been done will usually be discussed at a subsequent appointment. Typically tooth wear can arise from various parafunctional habits like clenching and grinding of the teeth, but also can be the result of acidic or abrasive agents from internal and/or external sources.

Removable Dentures and Devices

Removable Dentures can come in many forms and are often the first choice restorative option for selected patients. Your Specialist will be able to look at complete dentures, partial dentures of varying materials, sleeping appliances and tooth wear guards. It is common to also incorporate Dental Implants into treatment discussions regarding Removable Dentures as these can act as stabilisers for particular patients who dislike movement in their older dentures.
